Wesley Bryan Lexa
was born Thursday, December 17, 2020, in Greenville, Texas. He was so excited to meet his parents, Matthew and Julia Lexa, that he came early, at just 29 weeks. He weighed every bit of one pound nine ounces and was twelve and a half inches long. From the very beginning, he lived up to the description “tiny but mighty.”
Breathing was something Wesley worked to do from the beginning. Something that should have come naturally was quite a job for this little warrior. What was amazing to watch, though, was how Wesley touched people. That was an effortless process. As he grew, Wesley’s influence did, too. His ministry online is still growing, having reached at least two thousand people already.
In Wesley’s short life, he was a blessing to the doctors, nurses, and staff at three different hospitals. He touched countless lives, in countries all over the world. Wesley brought people back to God and he showed people who Jesus was. Through Wesley’s life, the world has changed.
Wesley Bryan Lexa went home on April 5, 2021. He fought the good fight and finished the race. And if he has taught the world anything, it is that we never know how long our life will be… But it doesn’t have to be long for God to use us. He left his mom and dad to tell his story, along with his great grandparents, grandparents, aunts, uncle, and cousins. Waiting to greet him were his Aunt Jenny and Uncle Thomas Holland, his cousin Cheyenne Ellerman, and his Great Aunt Diane Swindell.
